Fear God
Dear Christian, I hope you are doing alright. It's been ages since I left the house. One day you will have to do the same. It can be a bit daunting leaving the nest and going out into the big wide world. I was still a teen when I stepped out. I felt verily under-prepared for the things unknown that were to come.
I had so many questions about whether I would be able to fend for myself. I see it now that it was divine intervention that lead my steps, there is no way I could have navigated so much by myself at such an age. The feelings of nervousness never truly go away, I chose to become familiar with them. My stomach turning now means I am approaching an opportunity to experience something new, and I have to remember to cast my cares upon the Lord.
Enjoy your days of being sheltered. It may be annoying to have to submit to an authority you may not always be in agreement with. Especially, on days where you can not seem to understand the other party's point of view. In order to know how to lead you need to know how to be led. In life you can not truly be a leader if you can not submit. There are many hopes for you, to make something out of yourself. Before getting there, I will have to ask you to be less grumpy, when your chores are being listed out for you to do.
So here's why I am writing to you, although you are illiterate at the time being. In all my experience, I have come to discover a undoubtedly obvious truth. Fear God in your youth and it will save you many troubles. It's such a cliche, but it is a simple and truthful one. I have come to the realization, after pondering on where one can err greatly in life. At times you may assess a situation in another's life and, wonder why and, how they got themselves into such a mess.
Let me tell you about a guy called Joe. Joe was climbing up the corporate ladder at a young age. While on his ascension he caught the eye of his boss' wife. She tried making advances at him. Do you know what his response was ? He said,"How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?". Before even thinking about anything else, his main concern was God.
That's what it means to fear God, to have such a deep sense of reverence, such that, that which God hates is something you can not overlook easily. It is not a product of fear of punishment but more a great sense of love of our creator. How can I do that which Christ died to cleanse me from on the cross ? Ask yourself this question and ask it often. It will aid you in many more ways than you could ever know.
I hope I can see you soon. There's so much I would like to talk about with you.
Blessing.
the fear of God is so essential. There’s that scripture, Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it”. Without the foundation of Christ, life would be chaos. I had been pondering on how my life would’ve turned out if my parents didn’t set a solid foundation for me. My intelligent guess is it would’ve been tumultuous. This piece reminded me to be grateful for that and to continue to walk in the fear of God. Thank you for writing and welcome back lol.
